Lobbying Queen's Park for safer school zones
The downtown district saw significant improvements in cellphone coverage and signal strength. This allows visitors and local residents to better enjoy our downtown stores and restaurants.
To deal with growing concerns related to vacant properties and property maintenance, council strengthened the minimum standards and penalties under the Property Standards and Clean Yards By-Law.
Over 400 residents came out to enjoy a free BBQ, bouncy castle, snow plow painting, fire trucks, police cruisers, EMS, and free massages. The theme was safety and we even had a visit from Elmer the Safety Elephant!
The town customer service desk expanded to the OTH, to better help serve residents with their municipal needs. We also added directional signs, bicycle racks, and free wifi
Traffic mitigation has been one of my key priorities. Increased tools and tactics will continue to be added as part of the town' s "Safety Driven" traffic management campaign.
This great new playground now has a wonderful boardwalk and natural low impact drainage technology. This park is an important green space in Ward 5 and it is now better than ever.
